Tucked away along Lucap Highway, just moments from the famous Hundred Islands and the pristine shores of Bolinao, 148 Guesthouse and Resort is a sanctuary designed to transform your getaway into something truly unforgettable.

More than just a place to stay, we are a boutique oasis where modern comfort meets tropical charm. Our lush gardens, thoughtfully designed spaces, and Bali-inspired touches create an atmosphere of understated luxury—one that feels indulgent yet inviting, elegant yet homely. Founded by husband-and-wife duo, Bob and Meliza, 148 Guesthouse and Resort began as a passion project in 2019 when they relocated from Bali to Alaminos. What was once a forgotten property is now a unique and thriving destination that blends global inspiration with Filipino warmth. By 2025, we proudly opened seven private and stylish rooms, each crafted to reflect a harmony of simplicity, comfort, and beauty.

At our heart is a commitment to sustainability. Bob, a renewable energy professional, and Meliza, founder of BaliBerry Swimwear—a brand creating swimwear from recycled ocean plastics—share a vision of becoming the first eco-conscious resort in Alaminos City, where luxury is thoughtfully aligned with nature.

As a true family-run resort, our home remains part of the guesthouse grounds, making every stay feel personal and genuine. The outdoor spaces are shared with our guests, creating a warm sense of community. You may even be greeted by our two gentle, fully vaccinated golden retrievers, who love making new friends and adding to the charm of our little paradise.

Terms of stay

Here at 148 Guesthouse we pride ourselves on being completely transparent and as informative as possible. We have provided you with some important information regarding our guesthouse policies. These are practiced to ensure guests' comfort, safety and satisfaction at all times during your stay in our home. Please take a moment to read through our properties policies before making a reservation to ensure you have the most enjoyable experience.

Booking cancellation
  1. Flexible Window (14+ Days Prior to Arrival) Guests may cancel their reservation up to 14 full days prior to the arrival date (the arrival date is not included in the 14-day count). The refund amount depends on your original payment method:
  • Direct Payments (GCash or Bank-to-Bank): Eligible for a 100% Full Refund of your deposit.
  • Credit / Debit Card & Gcash Payments (via Maya or QRPH): Refunds are subject to a 5% Processing Fee.
  1. Late Cancellations (Within 14 Days of Arrival) Cancellations made within 14 days of the arrival date will result in the forfeiture of the 10% downpayment.
  2. Refund Processing & Safety To ensure security and compliance:
  • Original Method Only: All refunds will be issued strictly to the original payment method used at the time of booking.
  • Processing Time: Please allow up to 10 business days for the refund to be processed and reflected in your account.
  1. Flexible Alternatives In lieu of a refund, guests may choose one of the following to preserve the full value of their deposit:
  • Transferable Credit Voucher: Receive a credit for your full deposit amount valid for one (1) year. This voucher is fully transferable and may be gifted to another party.
  • Reschedule Your Stay: Reschedule for a future date at no extra cost (subject to seasonal rate adjustments). Please note that once a booking is rescheduled, the downpayment becomes non-refundable.
Reservation Deposit

10% of the reservation total is required to secure and confirm your booking. We accept direct payment via 'Bank Transfer for Gcash & Bank Tranfers or alternativley select 'Bank Card' to settle via Credit /Debit card or QRPH. Failure to submit payment within the given time frame indicated on your booking may result in your reservation being cancelled.

Rescheduling
  • Reschedule Your Stay: Reschedule anytime for free for a future date. (subject to seasonal rate adjustments). Please note that once a booking is rescheduled, the downpayment becomes non-refundable.

Security Deposits

All direct reservations at 148 Guesthouse are required to provide a refundable security deposit for each room upon arrival in cash. The security deposit are required for loss, damages and incidentals incurred during your stay.

  • Php 1000 per room + Php 1000 per room with pets
  • Fully Refundable after room inspection upon checkout

Travelling with pets? An additional security deposit of Php 1000 is required per room with pets.

Early Check-in / Late Checkout
  • Early check-in and late checkout are subject to availability and can only be determined on the day of arrival / depature. 
  • If you wish to check-in early please contact us at your earliest convience. 
  • If you wish to checkout late please contact us before 11 am.
  • Early check-in / Late checkout will incur additional fees of 200 Php per room, per hour.
  • Please do not arrive earlier than 2 pm or depart late than 11 am unless advised otherwise.

House Rules

At 148 Guesthouse and Resort, we want every guest to enjoy a comfortable, safe, and memorable stay. To ensure harmony and respect for all, we kindly ask that you observe the following house rules:

Check-In & Check-Out

  • Check-in: From 2:00 PM

  • Check-out: By 11:00 AM

  • All arrivals and departures must be registered at reception.

  • Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and may incur additional charges. (200php per hour, per room)

Quiet Hours

  • To preserve a peaceful environment, quiet hours are observed from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Pets

  • We are a pet-friendly guesthouse. Pet owners must follow our pet policy to ensure the comfort of all guests.

Smoking

  • Smoking is not permitted inside guest rooms or the communal kitchen.

  • Designated outdoor areas are provided with ashtrays for your convenience.

Damages

  • Guests are responsible for any damages caused to property during their stay.

Use of Amenities

  • Towels, robes, kitchenware, and other amenities are for use within the premises only and must not be removed.

Food & Beverages

  • Guests are welcome to bring their own food and drinks with no corkage fee.

Personal Belongings

  • The guesthouse is not liable for loss, damage, or injury resulting from guest negligence.

Allergies

  • Please note: we have friendly dogs onsite, and communal cooking facilities are shared. For this reason, we do not recommend stays for guests with severe pet or food allergies.

Communal Areas

  • Shared spaces are self-cleaning zones. Guests must clean up after themselves.

  • Any food left unattended or not stored properly will be disposed of for hygiene reasons.

Karaoke & Parties

  • Karaoke/videoke use is not permitted unless pre-approved by management, and only for full-house reservations under the same booking.

  • Unauthorized parties are strictly prohibited.

Pool Guidelines

  • For safety and enjoyment:

    • No diving

    • No glassware in the pool area

    • Proper swimwear required

    • Respectful behavior expected at all times

  • Parents/guardians must supervise children at all times.

Parking

  • Limited parking is available onsite and on the street nearby. 

Visitors

  • Visitors must register at reception with valid ID.

  • Non-registered guests are not permitted in rooms without prior authorization.

  • All visitors are expected to follow house policies.

Respect & Conduct

  • We ask all guests to treat fellow guests, staff, and property with courtesy and respect.

  • Disruptive, rude, or intoxicated behavior will not be tolerated.

Legal Compliance

  • Guests must comply with all local and national laws.

  • Illegal substances or activities will be reported immediately to the authorities.

Policy Enforcement

Failure to follow our house rules may result in immediate termination of your reservation without refund.

Pet Policy

148 Guesthouse and Resort – Pet Policy

At 148 Guesthouse and Resort, we are proud to be a pet-friendly haven where your furry companions are just as welcome as you are. To ensure the comfort, safety, and enjoyment of all our guests—human and four-legged alike—please review and observe the following guidelines during your stay:

Fees & Deposits

  • Pet Fee: ₱400 per room, per stay.

  • Refundable Security Deposit: ₱1,000 per room, returned upon check-out if no damages or cleaning penalties apply.

Vaccinations

  • All pets must be fully vaccinated against rabies.

  • Proof of vaccination must be presented on arrival.

Number of Pets

  • We do not enforce a maximum pet limit.

  • For bookings with 3 or more dogs, please contact us to arrange the most suitable room.

Sleeping Arrangements

  • Pets must sleep inside the room overnight.

  • Pets may sleep on the bed only when the pet-friendly sheet provided in the welcome basket is used.

  • Additional fees may apply for soiled or fur-covered linens.

Supervision

  • Pets should not be left unattended in rooms.

  • Many animals experience anxiety in new environments, which can lead to unexpected behavior. To avoid additional fees or disruptions, always supervise your pets.

Leash & Control

  • Pets must remain on a leash in all communal areas and be supervised at all times.

  • Pets are not allowed in the communal kitchen.

Pool Use

  • Pets are welcome to swim in the pool. Please note the pool is chlorinated, so owners should provide proper aftercare (rinsing and drying).

  • Owners must rinse their pets before using the pool, same as humans.

Cleanliness & Toileting

  • Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. Please bring your own waste bags and pads.

  • Pets are not permitted to use the garden areas for toileting. Please take your pet for a walk nearby.

  • Additional cleaning fees may apply if urine or feces are found in rooms upon check-out.

Food, Water & Towels

  • Fresh drinking water is provided throughout the property.

  • Guests must supply their own pet food and supplies.

  • Guesthouse towels may not be used on pets. A pet-friendly towel is included in your welcome basket.

Types of Pets

  • Only conventional household pets are allowed (e.g., dogs and cats).

  • Exotic pets are not permitted.

Behavior & Safety

  • All pets must be well-socialized, trained, and non-aggressive.

  • In the event of an attack or unsafe behavior towards staff, guests, our resident dogs, or other guests, we reserve the right to terminate the reservation immediately without refund.

Important Notice

Failure to follow the Pet Policy may result in immediate termination of your reservation without refund.
